Please see below for some examples of projects I have worked on. If you would like to know more, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Our origination had an opportunity to engage a third party to overhaul our website at a reduced cost, however this would only work if we were able to handoff a blueprint in a little more than two weeks. I was asked to meet with stakeholders and subject experts and construct a site map as well as a low fidelity prototype so that when we handed off project work to our partners they would be able to start development right away. Below are some select screenshots from the final deliverable, which allowed our partners quickly begin their overhaul, which can still be viewed at www.SelectSires.com
The Select Mating Service (SMS) tool is an application designed to help dairy cow evaluators match a farmer’s cow to a bull that will produce a more valuable offspring for that farmer’s unique goals. This project provided a unique challenge because it was required to be both highly specialized and completely customizable. My role for this project was to meet with developers and content experts to produce documentation that outlined requirements and included user stories. I also produced high-fidelity prototypes for stakeholders and developers. Once production began, I curated and then executed user tests with dairy cow evaluators to help further refine our GUI. Finally, I supported the team with UX quality assurance efforts.
VetPRO is an application for helping veterinarians track medical records for cows and bulls under company care that I helped design for Select Sires. This application was a mobile component of an already existing desktop application. One unique challenge for VetPRO was that the experience needed to be just as useful when the user was offline, since several of the facilities were in deep rural areas with no WiFi or mobile data. My role was to meet with product owners and analyze the existing application to determine app requirements and then design the user experience and user interface of a new mobile application using Ionic Creator.
SACWIS is the web application that state social workers in Ohio use to help facilitate and catalog everything to do with child welfare. When I joined in 2013, I served as a QA tester, but worked my way to Business Analyst and eventually, UX Designer. My role was to meet with system architects, content experts, analysts, and developers to determine requirements for both the large-scale system overhauls that were necessary as well as for more contained individual functionalities. I would provide high-fidelity prototypes for help facilitate requirement definition and further iteration. Once a final design was reached I would assist front-end developers with HTML production.
Because of our position as contractors, as well as the sensitive subject matter, almost all of my work is covered by an NDA. However, please see the below images for detached examples of some of the componentry I used in this project. For more examples/discussion please don't hesitate to schedule a meeting with me!
